Little Lives Small Animal Rescue was founded in July 2016 when we noticed many purchased small animals in our community were ending up abandoned, abused or neglected. At the time, small animal rescues were unheard of but we knew the need was great so Little Lives was formed.
Little Lives was one of the first small animal rescues in the PNW and the only one in the Tri Cities and surrounding areas, which means we grew a lot faster than we anticipated. Thankfully, the community was (and continues to be) so supportive of our cause and helped us along the way.
Our mission: to find permanent loving homes for companion animals that have been rescued from abuse, neglect or abandonment and to educate our community about proper small animal care and the importance of overpopulation prevention.
As people become more aware of our rescue, we are seeing a slight decrease in found/abandoned animals and a tremendous increase in owner surrenders. While we consider this a great thing, it is becoming more and more financially difficult to meet the medical needs that are required, so we truly appreciate your support and thank you for taking the time to read our story!
As of the end of 2021, Little Lives has been able to help close to 800 animals! But we cannot do this without YOU!
